A friend of my husbands, who is divorced, blew me away w/ what he told me. He and his ex-wife have been divorced for about 10 years. He and his ex live close to each other. He has an 18 year old daughter and a 14 year old son. His son lives primarily w/ the mom who is remarried. His daughter is going off to college in the fall. His ex-wife's new husband has a job 100 miles away and is willing to commute in order for his stepson to stay near his bio dad. The bio dad (my husbands friend)has offered to move the 100 miles since his job location is flexible. Wow, what a concept!!!! The bio dad is willing to relocate in order for his son to have a more stable environment at his mom's house...so cool!!! Imagine if more ex-couples got a long so well and thought of others rather than themselves. |
