I have a friend who was dating a guy with a child. She never got involved with the boy because they both thought it was better to wait to find out if the relationship was really going
to go somewhere. Turns out she really didn't like the "every other weekend" relationship. She thought she would, because it allowed her to keep her "freedom", but after 8 months, she realized she wanted more. I wanted to tell her that's what usually happens, but you don't want to hurt someones feelings when they seem so happy and in love. At the end of the day, I was happy she found made the right decision. She is over it now and happy too

I think it's a really good idea to wait until a relationship is solid before bringing kids into it. I just hate seeing little ones get close to the new "friend" and one day they are gone. It's just too hard on them and can really confuse the children.

The past couple weeks I've run into a couple single women and single men, with kids and w/out kids. They both seem to be saying the same thing - I just want to find a nice person who is looking for a companion to enjoy life. How come these folks aren't finding each other?? Internet dating is scary for them if kids are involved, or they don't want to walk into a situation where kids are involved or a difficult ex. I don't know the answer, but it seems like there are a lot of people looking for the same thing. I only hope that someone looking for a companion doesn't jump into a situation just because they are lonely w/out considering the kids or the ex and how that may impact their relationship long term...once the "honeymoon" is over.
